Specializations

Portland licensed therapist specializing in sex therapy, couples therapy, non-monogamy and polyamory, pregnancy and postpartum, trauma. Able to see clients in Oregon, Washington and Iowa.

I work best with clients who…

Are wanting to be emotionally open and engage in deep exploration in our sessions. In session, I will encourage you to expand further, engaging in a process of exploration and reflection, in order to develop a greater understanding of yourself. I might ask you to sit with your emotions, or turn and express them to your partner.

Are wanting to work collaboratively. While I might challenge you, offer guidance, or highlight patterns that may not serve you, I trust that you know yourself best, and believe that you are the expert in your own life. Together, we will explore your values and beliefs so that you can make changes that feel most in alignment with who you are.

Are seeking a loving and compassionate therapeutic environment. I believe that the trusting bond built between the therapist and client(s) inspires growth and healing. I will offer you genuine empathy, encourage your authenticity, and highlight your strengths in order to empower you to see yourself with compassion and develop awareness of your own resiliency.

Are motivated and wanting to apply our work in therapy to life outside of session. Between sessions, I might give you “homework” which could be to simply reflect on or notice something we’ve discussed in session through out the week, or to take a step towards something that you’ve identified that you want to work on.
